Francis Child was born in England in 1854. He immigrated to the Unites States and became a naturalized citizen. He moved to Panama for employment. Upon retirement, he remained in Panama. He died on April 26, 1941. He was cremated, buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
