Notes
William Clifford Chester was born in Tunnel Hill, Georgia on August 6, 1874 and resided in Chattanooga, Tennessee. On April 5, 1894 he left Chattanooga and traveled to Guatemala. In June 1900 he moved to the Isthmus of Panama and worked for the Panama Railroad Company as a Conductor for one year, then a Traveling Engineer for four years. He was promoted to Locomotive Engineer for the Panama Railroad Company until he retired. He died on July 21, 1939 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
