Carl Francis Chase was born in Bennettsville, South Carolina on December 2, 1881. In 1920 he married Beryl Sharpensteen and moved to Ancon, Canal Zone to work as a Clerk for the Panama Canal Company. In 1930 he was promoted to Accountant. Upon retirement, he continued to live in the Canal Zone. He died at Gorgas Hospital on July 10, 1950 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery with Beryl Sharpensteen Chase.\r\n
