Maude A. Charles was born in Luray, Virginia on July 3, 1911. She married Louis H. Charles and they had a son, Louis H. Charles, on November 6, 1936 in Richmond, Virginia. They moved to the Canal Zone, where Charles was employed by the Panama Canal Company. After his death, Maude continued to live in Panama. She died on September 19, 1970 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
