Sergeant John Joseph Celosky was born in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania on February 16, 1915. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Sergeant with Battery A, 1st Coast Artillery during World War II. He died while on active duty on September 27, 1942 at Ft. Sherman, Canal Zone and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
