William A. Cawl was born in Ancon, Canal Zone on September 20, 1916. He was the son of naturalized citizen William J. Cawl who was born in Carbonear, Newfoundland. William A. Cawl married Maxine A. Cawl from Painesville, Ohio and worked 30 years for the Panama Canal Company in the Supply and Community Service Bureau. He was promoted to General Supply Assistant. After retirement he died on October 15, 1970 and is buried at the Corozal American Cemetery near his father and his wife.
