Specialist Fourth Class Thomas Catanzaro was a 74 year old American, born in Chicago, Illinois. After three years of college, he enlisted in the Army and was assigned to Battery C, 2nd Observation Battalion, 26th Artillery at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. After a year and 10 months he transferred to U.S. Army Reserve at Fort Amador, Canal Zone and worked for the Panama Canal Company. Upon retirement, he moved to Chicago, Illinois. He died on March 11, 2011. He was cremated and buried with his parents, Anthony and Jane Catanzaro, at the Corozal American Cemetery.
