Private Anthony Catanzaro was born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on December 1, 1897. On September 25, 1920, he married Jane V. Filichia in Chicago, Illinois and had five children. He and Jane moved to the Canal Zone where he worked for the Panama Canal Company. He retired in June 1958. He died on March 13, 1959 at the Gorgas Hospital and is buried at the Corozal American Cemetery with his wife, Jane V. Catanzaro and his son, Thomas Anthony Catanzaro.
