Beresford Cadogan was born in Barbados, British West Indies on January 18, 1891. He enlisted in the US Army and served as a Private with A Company, 564th Engineer Service Battalion during World War I. After the War he worked he worked as a civilian in the Canal Zone. Upon retirement, he continued to live in Panama. ma. He died on April 18, 1963 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
