Infant boy Byrd was the stillborn son of U.S. Army Sergeant First Class John Baptist Byrd and Blance Byrd of Fort Gulick, Canal Zone. He died on July 15, 1952 at Coco Solo Naval Hospital. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
