Thomas P. Burke was born in the United States in 1868. He migrated to the Canal Zone in 1906 and was a non Panama Canal Company employee. He died on August 27, 1908 at the Ancon Hospital. He was buried at the Ancon Cemetery, disinterred and cremated in 1915. His ashes were retained at the Gorgas Mortuary. On request from the Panama Canal Company, his remains were buried at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1980.
