Charles Walter Burke was born in Wisconsin on July 18,1902. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Sergeant with Battery D, 64th Coast Artillery Regiment in Panama. After the war, he remained in Panama working as a plumber for the U.S. Navy. He died on July 7, 1957. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
