Notes
Edward Brainard was born in Albany, New York on January 31, 1875. He enlisted in the Army and was assigned to 32nd Coast Artillery Corps, serving during the Spanish-American War. After his discharge on October 28, 1915, he worked as a clerk in the Mechanical Division, Panama Canal Company. He died on March 5, 1920 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
