Emma May Brain was born in England on November 10, 1885. She immigrated to the United States and married Lawrence Brain. They moved to the Canal Zone where Lawrence worked for the Panama Canal Company. After Lawrence retirement, they moved to Clearwater, Florida. She died on May 5, 1960 and is buried at the Corozal American Cemetery with her mother-in-law, Ann Brain and her husband, Lawrence Brain,
