Sergeant First Class Boronski was a member of Military Assistance Command Vietnam Studies and Observation Group, 5th Special Forces Group. On March 24, 1970, he was being extracted by a Bell Iroquois Utility Helicopter (UH-1H) from a position fourteen miles inside Cambodia in Ratanokiri Province. As the helicopter was ascending it was hit by enemy fire, exploded and crashed. His remains were recovered on April 12, 1995 and identified on June 20, 2001. His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
