Lieutenant Colonel Bogiages was a member of the 357th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Takhli Air Base, Thailand. On March 2, 1969, he was the pilot of a Thunderchief Fighter (F-105D) on a mission over the Plain of Jars in Laos. His aircraft was shot down 5 miles southwest of Ban Na Mai, Xiangkhoang Province. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
