George Henry Bliss was an American born on May 12, 1880. He moved to Panama and married Emma L. Bliss. They lived at Paraiso, Canal Zone. He was employed as an engineer at the Operations and Maintenance Office, Panama Canal Company. He died on August 23, 1917 at Ancon Hospital. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
