Edwin W. Blanton was born in Magazine, Arkansas on July 8, 1874. He moved to Panama to work for the Panama Canal Company. Upon retirement he remained in Panama. He died on April 30, 1951. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery, then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
