Harold A. Blackwell was born in Rhode Island on December 14, 1919. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a Pharmacist's Mate, Third Class during World War II. After the war he moved to Panama to work for the Postal Division, Panama Canal Company. He died on January 14, 1972 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
