Thomas Bennett was born in British Guinea on March 17, 1872. He moved to Panama to work for the Panama Canal Company as a laborer in the Mechanical Division. After retirement he remained in Panama. He died on March 8, 1948 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
