Newton Beechner was born in Colorado on October 23, 1900 enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a Sergeant with Headquarters Company, 33rd Infantry during World War I. After the war he moved to Panama and worked as a civilian foreman with the U.S. Army. He died on July 19, 1966 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
