Notes
Lieutenant Colonel Bacik was a member of the Marine All Weather Attack Squadron 533, Marine Attack Group 12, 1st Marine Air Wing. On August 27, 1967, he was flying in a Grumman Attack Aircraft Intruder (A-6A) over the South China Sea near North Vietnam, when radio contact was lost. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
