Notes
Linneus James Avery was born in Conway, Michigan on June 6, 1875. He enlisted in the Army and was promoted to Sergeant, in Battery F, 4th Battalion, 2nd Field Artillery and fought in Cuba during the Spanish-American War and served during World War I. After he retired from the Army, he remained in Panama. He died on June 5, 1942 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
