Emanuel Augustine was born in St. Lucia, British West Indies. He immigrated to the United States and became a naturalized citizen. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps, which became the U.S. Air Force in 1948. He was promoted to Sergeant. After his enlistment, he worked as a civilian guard for the for the U.S. Air Force in Panama. He died on November 27, 1955. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
