Visitor access to the grounds has also been limited due to noticeable degradation of the site caused by foot traffic.

The Pointe du Hoc Ranger Monument will exceptionally be closed on Feb. 22, 2024, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Access to the monument will be blocked during this time frame for security reasons.

As part of Black History Month, the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) is proud to share the story of Cpl. Bernard T. Woodland, commemorated at Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery in Belgium.

The American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) commemorated the 80th anniversary of Operation Shingle at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy, today to honor the service and sacrifice of the U.S. Armed Forces and their Allies during World War II.  

The stone monument is located on Blanc Mont Ridge.
