In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic and to ensure the health and safety of our staff and visitors per U.S. and host-nation guidelines, the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) has cancelled all public Memorial Day ceremonies at our 26 cemeteries around the world.
While ABMC sites are closed to the public, ABMC cemetery superintendents keep making sure that the resting places of our fallen service members are well taken care of. The have taken over the mowers, and keep raising and lowering our colors every single day.
