Staff at Normandy American Cemetery is actively involved in the preparations for the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day landings Ceremony of June 6.

Due to renovation works, access to the Montfaucon American Monument, France, will be closed to the public on Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday May 23.

The Visitor Center at Luxembourg American Cemetery will be closed from Tuesday April 23 to Monday April 29, 2019, due to maintenance works. 

Special guests participate in the wreath-laying ceremony as part of the 68th anniversary commemorating the D-Day landings.

Due to renovation works, access to the overlook (orientation table) at Normandy American Cemetery will be closed until June 6, 2019. 

Access to the cemetery will not be impacted.

The U.S. Air Force will conduct a flyover and the Royal British Legion will lay a wreath at Cambridge American Cemetery (CAAC) on Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, in honor of the 10 crewmembers of the B-17 Flying Fortress nicknamed “Mi Amigo."

In December 1944, the German Army launched its last major offensive of World War II—often referred to as the Battle of the Bulge. Approximately 19,000 Americans died during the counteroffensive.

The Normandy Visitor Center will be closed to the public beginning February 4, 2019 due to a total renovation of the exhibit space. It’s anticipated the visitor center will re-open in early June 2019.
