Major Imschweiler was a veteran of World War II. During the Korean War, he was a stationed at Otis Air Force Base, Falmouth, Massachusetts. On August 7, 1951, he was the pilot on a jet training flight from Otis Air Force Base to Griffiss Air Force Base, New York, when his aircraft ran out of fuel and crashed near Forestport, New York. |
