First Lieutenant Glatz was the navigator of a B-29 Superfortress Bomber with the 2nd Air Rescue Squadron, 2nd Bomber Wing based at Hunter Air Force Base, Georgia. On July 10, 1953, his aircraft crashed about seven miles from Hunter AFB, killing all 10 crew members. |
