Lieutenant Conlon was a veteran of World War II. During the Korean War, he was a pilot of a rescue aircraft, assigned to an air rescue squadron in Keflavik, Iceland. On May 16, 1952, he was on a rescue mission looking for a missing Naval aircraft in southern Iceland when his aircraft crashed. He was declared missing. He was presumed dead on July 28, 1952. |
