Corporal Leone was a crew member of a B-29A Superfortress Bomber with the 370th Bomber Squadron, 307th Bomber Wing based at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa. On January 30, 1951, while on a bombing mission, there was a fire in one engine and the mission was aborted. The aircraft crashed at Kadena killing him. |
