Airman Second Class Steuart was a member of the 942nd Tactical Air Control Squadron attached to the 6147 Tactical Air Control Group. He developed hemorrhagic fever and was evacuated to the 48th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital where he died on July 17, 1953.
