First Lieutenant Davis was the pilot of a F-84G Thunderjet fighter with the 8th Fighter Bomber Squadron, 49th Fighter Bomber Group. On May 10, 1953, while on a combat mission, his aircraft was last seen entering a heavy overcast. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on May 11, 1954. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
