First Lieutenant Garrow was the pilot of a F-84E Thunderjet fighter with the 8th Fighter Bomber Squadron, 49th Fighter Bomber Group. On April 8, 1953, while on a combat mission and after an attack run on a target, he failed to rejoin his flight. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on April 9, 1954. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
