Lieutenant Jennings was a crew member of a PBM-5S Catalina patrol bomber with Advance Training Unit 700, based at Corpus Christi, Texas. On May 5, 1954, the aircraft was on a navigation training flight when it crashed 90 miles southwest of Brownsville, Texas killing 10 crewmen. |
