Chief Aviation Ordnanceman Faubel was a crew member of PB5M Catalina Patrol Bomber with Patrol Squadron 46, U.S. Navy. He was listed as Missing in Action on November 5, 1950 while participating in aerial support over Korea. He was presumed dead on March 29, 1951. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
