Ensign Statia served aboard the heavy cruiser USS SAINT PAUL (CA 73). He and five other seamen were Killed in Action, when the whaleboat they were in disappeared in Inchon Harbor, South Korea on March 11, 1951. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
