Lieutenant Arrivee was the pilot of an AD-2 Skyraider dive bomber and Officer in Charge of the Composite Squadron 35 Detachment aboard the USS BOXER (CV-21). On June 21, 1951, he was flying an armed reconnaissance near Yangdok, North Korea, when his aircraft was struck by anti-aircraft fire and crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
