Sergeant First Class Cantrell was a member of the 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in North Korea on November 28, 1950 and returned to duty on December 16, 1950. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in South Korea on February 12, 1951 and died while a prisoner on June 7, 1951. |
