Sergeant First Class La Borde was a member of Headquarters Company, 3rd Battalion, 279th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Division. He accidentally stepped on a friendly mine near Sonbyok, North Korea and was evacuated to the 8063rd Mobile Army Surgical Hospital where he died on March 30, 1952. |
