Sergeant First Class Johnson was a member of Company A, 1092nd Engineer Combat Battalion. On July 16, 1953, while clearing debris from a highline at the Teal Bridge at Kunnam Myon, North Korea, the cable snapped dragging him into the Imjin River and he drowned. |
