Sergeant First Class Schoonover was a member of the 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was wounded on July 19, 1950 and returned to duty the same day. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in South Korea on January 1, 1951 and died while a prisoner on April 30, 1951. |
