Sergeant Homawan was a member of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on July 29, 1950 and returned to duty on August 5, 1950. He was declared Missing in Action on September 5, 1950 and presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
