Corporal Franklin was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on May 18, 1951 while fighting the enemy near Hill 1051, South Korea as he was about to be taken prisoner. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
