Captain Walker was a member of the 8th Bomber Squadron. On April 7, 1966, he was a crew member of a Martin Canberra Bomber (B-57B) on a mission over Savannakhet Province, Laos, when his aircraft was shot down. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
