Notes
Lieutenant Shaw was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a served as an Intelligence Officer attached to Headquarters and Service Company, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was Killed in Action while on patrol with the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines during an ambush near Nokponi, South Korea on September 22, 1950.
