Notes
Major McDonald was a veteran of World War II, serving 42 months in both the European and Pacific Theaters. During the Korean War, he was assigned to the Indoctrination Unit, Sampson Air Force Base at Geneva, New York. Three day after reporting to his assignment he died of a heart attack.
