Major Ferree was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, the Asia-Pacific Campaign Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal.
Notes
Major Ferree was a veteran of World War II. During the Korean War, he was a pilot with the Marine 441st Fighter Squadron based at Cherry Point, North Carolina. On August 21, 1953, during a solo training flight his aircraft crashed killing him.
