Hospital Corpsman Third Class Estrada served with the U.S. Navy attached to Company B, 1st Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He suffered a gunshot wound to his back while tending his wounded comrades and was taken to the 11th Evacuation Hospital where he died on April 16, 1953.
