Christian Valentine Arnheiter was born in New Jersey on October 31, 1876. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and was promoted to Master Sergeant. He served during the Spanish-American War and World War I. After the War he moved to Panama and married Elvira A. Arnheiter and they had a son,Christian Valentine Arnheiter, Jr. He died on June 26, 1953 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery near his wife, Elvira and son Christian.
